Tears

Don't know if the band had any recognition outside the country but they surely made an unique impression in France during the late 80s / early 90s.

Aiming from Paris, TEARS were tagged 'the french Motley Crüe' -but it was mostly based on their wardrobe- and achieve to get praise by both press and public without no official release.
The band did record several demos but they always refused to sell them to the fans, those recordings were only made to get press and labels attention. And it works pretty well I must say. I heard about them via musical magazines which reported outrageous behavior or more factual deeds with gigs reviews. And always with great pictures of the flamboyant quartet.

I only manage to see them live once. they were the opening act for a D.A.D. concert at l'Elysée Montmarte in 1989/90 and they delivered a cool performance. I was eager to get a hold on their upcoming album but nothing happened and the band finally disappeared.

2013 might be the year tho'. Reunited for a French Hard rock/Metal festival, Tears are actually planning to release a compilation of the demos as well as a brand new album.

I'll keep you posted on that.
